I successfully matched from BA Gold to Turkish Elite in May 2024. The match involved filling out the online form (https://feedback.turkishairlines.com/en) with the message: "I would like to request a status match to Elite level from OneWorld Emerald / British Airways Executive Club Gold. I attach a copy of my passport and gold card." They asked for "A statement for the same membership showing your flights for the previous two months". I sent them both my BA and LH flight history (given relevant for Star Alliance). 24 hours later they informed me "...as of 21/05/2024, the status of your membership TKXXXXXXXXX has been raised to Elite". It came with the known conditions such as 1 international TK flight within 4 months etc. I did fulfil that first condition (so was extended by 1 year), but I was not going to reach 15,000 Status Miles flying TK. Instead, I fulfilled the normal conditions to reach Elite of 40,000 Status miles on any carrier (mostly LH, AC, and TP). My status was then extended a full further 2 years as a consequence; my card now expires in 05/2027.

Contacted via online chat and got to a human. Had to email in proof documents and had an existing business class flight booked with SQ for next month. Also stated that we would be taking reasonably frequent flights to a destination SQ services directly which makes them more attractive to me. Had a few emails back and forth and told it would take about two weeks. All very pleasant and cordial conversations. Checked emails from them and nothing since the application, but logged on to change seats for the flight and noticed that got bumped to Gold without a challenge. No comms from SIA which is a bit weird, but not arguing. PS I've moved to SQ as my primary carrier due to the (lack of) service from QF. Lost my bags and couldnt give a ****. This is what happens Qantas.
