I just signed up for a new account with iberia. Had AA platinum pro for years. I used the webform at contacto.iberia.com and wrote why I want to switch and attached screenshots of my AA account.
Less than 24 hours later I got this email from Iberia:
All requests will be considered individually once the annual card renewal process has been completed. Please keep in mind that the change of level process takes place during the month of April, so that all the exceptional cases will be studied during the month of May.
We assure you that once your request has been processed, we will contact you again to inform you of the decision adopted. In this sense, we would like to emphasize that the fact that you receive a card of a lower level does not imply a refusal to your request, as your case will still be open until you receive a definite communication.
Bummer, pretty useless answer.
