Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Returns Report: Deny

Used status match contact form on VirginAtlantic website. Provided pdf proof of existing BAEC Gold status and valid PNR for upcoming VS Upper Class flight (cash paid for Prem Econ, upgrade voucher used for Upper Class). Status match request denied due to following reason, which I consider to be fair enough considering that VS extended my Silver Status beyond its original validity due to Covid : Unfortunately, as you have been status matched previously to a Silver status we couldn’t offer you another status match. The status match is only for a year and then the member is expected to maintain the status on their own. As your account is scheduled to revert its status this would indicate that you do not travel enough to maintain Silver or Gold status.
