2024 UA Status Match Program started exactly on Jan 04, 2024. Request got approved automatically by the system upon attaching a .jpg print screen of my card from the Latam Pass app at https://promo.united.com/offers/statusmatch.
I did not have to wait a single minute for the approval, it was automatic and the result was shown on the screen (not through email). Status matched from Jan 04 to May 2024 with a challenge in order to keep benefits throughout all of 2024.
