Emailed customer service requesting a status match. Provided a screenshot of my Platinum card in the AAdvantage program.
After a few days, ANZ responded that a flyer must have enough flights booked on the airline to qualify for Airpoints status, and requested my current ANZ itineraries. I had 4 flights booked which were well short of their Gold status requirement, so I was denied.
