Free Spirit Returns Report: Challenge

Its not a FREE Spirit status match, its a paid "Free Spirit" (TM) status challenge for 12 months to Free Spirit Gold, obtainable upon matching any of numerous Airline and Hotel statuses you may have. You have to pay $99 for this 12-month period, and for this status to continue, you must have fulfilled the regular yearly spend criteria - so the 'Challenge' component isn't special for this. You pay $99 for Spirit Gold status for 12months, and you need to have a premium status with one of these Airline / Hotel programs to be eligible to do this. The challenge part is unappealing really - you must have fulfilled the regular yearly spend criteria for this status to continue another year. Note that you could make up this fees if you plan to check-in baggage twice that year on Spirit. Applied through https://spirit.statusmatch.com/. Uploaded the screenshot showing Hilton Honors Diamond status and paid $99. Status match was 'Approved' within an hour, and was informed to "please allow up to 5 business days your Free Spirit® online account to reflect your new elite status". If the match is for Silver status, it incurs a lower $49 charge.
