I filled the challenge form https://promotions.united.com/offers/statusmatch and I received confirmation of Platinum Status until December 31, 2020. The status will be extended for another year if I complete the challenge in this period. See the message:
"To maintain this status through the rest of the year, simply fly 10 Premier qualifying flights (PQF) and earn 3000 Premier qualifying points (PQP) on our United® or United Express® flights between September 3, 2020 and December 31, 2020.
We'll be in touch once you've met the requirements. Shortly after your trial begins, you can explore your available benefits as well as track your progress at mystatus.united.com."
