Attention: I am a XiamenAir plat member, not a Chian Eastern one. But there is no Xiamenair and these two are in the same alliance so I chose it. Emailed Cathay, and I happened to have a business class ticket with them, so they agreed to grant me an silver after I actually take that flight.

Emailed them ~Jun 2020 with Velocity e-card, statement from the past year with numerous travel between Australia and Hong Kong / regional Asia, and said I would take a long haul CX flight in future without providing proof (which I booked after getting the match). Very efficient team from the MPC Club and got matched within 2 or 3 days. Baggage tags came in about a week.

Send out the previous year KA/CX boarding pass, along with the past year statement of my QRPC, and the future travel with CX/KA. Was given Silver status right away after submitting the request in 2 days via email.
