I emailed asking for status match and attached a picture of my Air France gold card. They replied in less than 24 hours asking for a record of my flights with Air France and a copy of my passport. By the next day my status was granted: The first 4 months of your Elite membership will be considered a trial period. During this time, you are required to take at least one international flight with Turkish Airlines and ensure that it is automatically credited to your account. At the end of the trial period, if your membership account includes at least one international flight flown with Turkish Airlines, your Elite membership will be extended for another 8 months (i.e., remaining valid for a total of 1 year from the date of the match). In the first year of your Elite membership, if you achieve a total of 15,000 Status Miles on your Turkish Airlines flights, your membership will be extended for an additional year (i.e., remaining valid for a total of 2 years from the date of the match).
