Called customer support number. Asked if they had status match with Hilton. Answer was no with two different associates. Asked if there were challenges. Was told there was only a challenge for silver to gold for 8 nights and from gold to platinum for 16 nights, but I had to be at that status level already, and can only do one per year. Decided to stay with Hilton until they had a better program in the future.

Proved to them on my MH Gold CX Silver Hilton Gold Discovery Loyalty Platinum IHG Platinum Best Western Platinum they replied With regards to the status match request, as a matter of the KrisFlyer membership programme policy, our members have to accumulate 50,000 Elite Miles to qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Gold status. These Elite miles can only be earned when members travel on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Australia, Vistara, any Star Alliance airline or selected Star Alliance Connecting Partner airlines. We regret that we are unable to grant Elite Gold status out of fairness to our members who have to qualify based on the above-mentioned criteria. I contacted LATAM through their website contact form, saying that I was thinking about shifting my business travel from Avianca to LATAM. They responded and asked me for some scanned documents, which I provided. They emailed me a couple of days later: “We regret to inform you that our LATAM Pass committee was unable to accept your status match request, due to nowadays we are only processing this benefit with the American Airlines program (AAdvantage).”
