When I emailed to the customer support team in February 2022, I have received auto reply saying the status match campaign had ended already, however after a few weeks, I was contacted by the representative of the customer support team, and was advised to send necessary information including the screen shot of elite status from other airline's royalty program. After a few round of email exchanges, I've got my status with ITA Volare matched to the higher tier. Though ANA SFC Superflyers status got matched to only Smart Plus, better than nothing.

Hello Everyone, So... Here goes... It is has been quite a whirlwind and a difficult process indeed, but here's what happened: I sent an email during the very first few days of February 2022. They initially said that the status match campaign ended on Friday 31st December 2021. But then surprisingly they contacted me themselves, to say that they would offer me a status match. Really?! They said that they would match to an equivalent elite tier level, in this case Volare Premium, as I have Lufthansa Senator/Star Alliance Gold Status. I then thought that the whole process would then be straight forward, from that point onwards, but then they said after a couple of days that I technically shouldn't of been offered it, as the status match campaign ended at the end of December 2021. So I fought against them, saying "Why did you offer this etc, if I shouldn't of been?" Their own call centre (A UK premium rate number), didn't even know what went wrong! And then finally after around 5 days to 1 week later, of lots of emails, and voice messages left, they then explained their position, and said that they would re-elevate me to Volare Premium Status after being initially denied. And that's what happened. They also apologised for any confusion that was caused, and the agent who told me said, that they couldn't go through the ins and outs of what happened, on their end. They did also come forward reluctantly however, and said and confirmed that they are doing and appear to be "limited status matching", but on a case by case basis. As others who read this can see that some site users have been granted and others haven't. But I would recommend to keep fighting on those terms as I did, as others indeed have and have won, as it is possible. My elite status was Volare Premium and Skyteam Elite Plus, until mid-February 2023 (Valid for 1 Year). From E Powell
