Received an email within an hour stating that my request had been approved and that the upgrade would appear in my account within 7 business days. My profile updated within 2 days.

As explained before. It helps to have an upcoming flight with TK. Also you have to send a copy of your ID. Unfortunatly not matching Platinum to Elite Plus. Just Elite. Which still is *A Gold.
